Stocks and grips

The Heat-Treated Castle Nut screws onto the AR15/M4 lower receiver extension (buffer tube) and keeps the receiver extension and lower receiver end plate secured in place.  The large notches allow for positive engagement with a castle nut wrench for proper installation and torque.  The smaller notches provide a location for the end user to stake the castle nut to prevent accidental loosening.

Finished in a Mil-spec manganese phosphate.

The Magpul Enhanced Receiver Extension is a 10-position, Mil-Spec sized, SR25 / M110 profile buffer tube optimized to fit with the full line of Magpul Mil-Spec Carbine Stocks.

Due to its longer length, this receiver extension is compatible with most DPMS® Gen 1 pattern 7.62x51 firearms with standard length AR15 / M4 carbine buffer components as well as aftermarket A5 buffers and springs for use on 5.56x45 AR15 / M4 platforms.*
