Short description:

Excerpt from the book “RIS” The pilot began approaching the ship. He circled past that we were at right angles over the sea. I could have sworn I saw the rotor cut the water. The water bounced back and forth. He rose above the ship and stabilized. Our stomachs slowly returned to their places and we prepared for the "fastrope". The thick rope was secured and tied securely to the helicopter. We lowered her to the deck. We lined up evenly across the helicopter so as not to throw it off balance. We waited for the sign.

Lynx is a book written to leave a message to the world. For this purpose, most of the proceeds from the sale of the first edition will be used to finance additional training for members of the Slovenian Police and professional firefighters. One hundred police officers and firefighters will receive training in stopping life-threatening bleeding. I hope they never need it. But if they do, at least they should be well prepared for it. Maybe one day they will save the life of me or you. From November 2020, it is possible to pre-order the book, which also starts the MAUS campaign to raise money for training and purchase esmarch bandages for our police officers and firefighters.

A wave of the hand meant: Let’s go!

The first one went down the rope, and I followed him. I watched him under me and kept my distance so as not to get stuck in it. The first one had the task of preparing the ground for me and covering my back while I went down to the deck and then held the rope for everyone else. He touched the deck. The helicopter was hit by a gust of wind and threw it off balance. He lost direction, and I found myself alone on a rope above the sea, with no deck below me. I squeezed all the muscles against the rope and just waited to be above the “ground” again. I'm having a bad day again!
