It also adds +2 rounds to increase the magazine capacity from 17 to 19 using the stock magazine springs, but the superb handling and grip is what truly makes this base pad a worthwhile upgrade. The bottom of this plate is flat with a special gripping tape for excellent grip and longer lifespan since the bottom of the magazine usually takes the most damage when dropped in dynamic sports such as IPSC.
Precise cuts and grooves are machined across 3 sides to aid in the fastest and most precise reloads with one hand. All these details contribute to a very solid grip.
No other modifications nor any special tools are required for installation. The base pad joins to the magazine with a tight fit.
