What the Free-Float, Zero-Play Toolhead do?
This toolhead has lock rings that allow the sizer and seater dies to float. This floating action allows the dies to center themselves exactly over each cartridge for the best possible alignment and more concentric ammunition.

What is Zero Play? This toolhead does not use original toolhead pins supplied by dillon. This toolhed is bolted with two M3 bolts and lifts toolhead into upmost position. When you cycle cases downwards toolhead does not move and cases go out in straght line. Best practice is to loosen M3 bolts a little bit and push index shell-plate with case in to dies and tighten M3 bolts in toolhed best position.

What is concentricity and what does it matter? Concentricity refers to how straight the bullet is on top of the loaded round. A bullet that is straight will enter the rifling in the barrel that way. Bullets that enter the rifling slightly crooked do not shoot with their highest accuracy.

What’s wrong with using the OEM toolheads? The Dillon presses are great machines made to high quality standards. However, the cast toolheads have limitations. How do we know if the toolhead flange is flat? Or how do we know that each threaded station in the toolhead is in perfect alignment with the shellplate? How do we know that the stations are equally spaced? All of these areas compound for possible misalignments and lead to ammunition that isn’t quite as concentric as it could be. The toolhead is the final link between your dies and your press so it only makes sense that quality is extremely important. With over 100,00 EUR of dies, powder measure, and other accessories mounted in your toolhead, don’t you want to know it’s the best available!

What is different about the new CNC Machined Toolhead? These toolheads are made to the highest standards. The are CNC machined from 6082 aluminum, which is much stronger and has less flex than a cast toolhead. All critical dimensions are machined in a single operation, ensuring that all surfaces are true and aligned relative to each-other. The die holes are positioned with a very high degree of accuracy and the 7/8-14 threads are machined to tight tolerances for  precise fit and alignment, yielding dies that are more precisely centered in each hole and better aligned to the cartridge cases in the shellplate. The flange is also flatter than can be achieved with a cast toolhead.

Free-float rings are sold seperately. Usually you need two free-float rings. One for resize and other for bullet seating. However you can add free-float ring to each station.

Electric Case Feed System allows you to simply dump fired, cleaned and deprimed hulls into the bowl.  The Case Feeder orients the hulls right side up and fills the feed tube automatically, turning itself on and off as necessary, to keep the case feed tube full.

The Casefeeder will hold 600 .38 Special cases or 500 .223 Rem cases.

A common question we hear is “Can I use the Bullet Feeder on my 550?” Or “Can I use the Bullet Feeder and still continue to use my powder check on my 650?”.

Such Seating and Crimping dies are available, and so we decided it was time we made them directly available to our customers as well. LEE Precision produces these, so no question about the quality. 

The 2-in-1 Seating and crimping die include an O-ring lock machined into the nut, which allows you to hand tighten only – and the die stays put! They include a finger adjustable floating bullet seater. For durability they are heat treated to ideal hardness and polished to the smoothest finish.

An automatic casefeed system, similar to the one used on Dillon's commercial-grade Super 1050 machine and the XL 650, is now available for YOUR RL 550 series press! You simply dump a quart of cases into the hopper and turn it on. The motor-driven disc fills the case feed tube, a micro-switch shuts off the motor when the tube is full, and automatically restarts it when low. This case feeder only works for the handgun calibers listed under the casefeed caliber conversions. Rifle cases are too tall to feed with this system.

Sizing/Depriming Die
Our sizing/depriming dies feature a unique “floating decap assembly” with a snap spring that throws the spent primer off the pin and eliminates the problem of primer “draw back” that often occurs when decapping military brass. The primary feature of Dillon’s size die design the long, tapered carbide ring with a radiused opening remains unchanged. That radiused opening, and its importance to progressive reloading, is one of the reasons why our seat and crimp dies are better. We found a way of manufacturing these dies that has enabled us to make the lead-in radius even bigger! The bigger radius makes progressive loading with our equipment even smoother but that’s still only a part of the story.

Bullet Seating Die
Our new quick-disassembly seat die allows the user to disassemble and clean the seat die without losing adjustment. In this manner, bullet lube and shavings can be quickly removed from the die, thereby guaranteeing a constant seating depth. We’ve incorporated a “flip-flop” seating stem and a clip that enables you to remove the die insert and change the seating stem from round nose to semi-wadcutter without unscrewing a seating stem out of the die body. We’ve always included both types of seating stems, but the new double-ended design makes it a simple matter to remove a pin, reverse the seating stem, make any minor seating depth adjustments that may be necessary and go on loading in a fraction of the time it used to take.

Crimp Die
We’ve made it easy for you to remove the die insert for cleaning without having to change the critical crimp adjustment. Once your crimp die is set for the proper amount of crimp, you’ll never have to change it. This is especially good news for all of you who load lead bullets! Before, you had to unscrew the die from the toolhead and disassemble the die in order to remove any bullet lube or lead residue. Then, you had to start from square one to re-adjust the crimp. Those days are over. All you have to do now is pop a clip and the die insert drops into your hand for cleaning.

NOTE: All Dillon Pistol Die sets include our sizer/ decap die, seat die and a separate crimp die. (Taper crimp for autos; accu-crimp for revolvers.)

Primer chute for spent primers replaces the blue plastic spent primer cup and bracket on the Dillon 650 reloading press. It completely covers the spent primer ejection port, creating a fully enclosed pathway for spent primers. Spent primers are routed through clear PVC tubing into plastic bottle which you fix with a holder on a strong mount. No more spent primers on floor.

Powder Baffle is a must have reloading accessory that dramatically increases powder load consistency and accuracy! 

When reloading your own ammunition it is common to produce 500 to 1,000 rounds per hour. At this rate your powder reservoir empties pretty fast. The weight of powder in the tube affects how full of a charge your bullets receive. A baffle ensures consistent weight on the powder at the bottom of the reservoir, giving you consistent loads.

This design eliminates direct weight from the powder in the powder tube reservoir to the charge bar allowing the most consistent and accurate flows. Whether the powder reservoir tube is full, half way or almost empty your averageload should be consistent. 

Powder Baffle is made from stainless steel.

Fits on Dillon Auto Powder Measure . It only takes a few seconds to drop it down into the bottom of the Dillon powder hopper. The powder hopper is not modified and your Dillon Warranty will not be effected.

Mounts directly to Strong Mount. Fits the Square Deal, RL550 series and XL650 strong mounts. For 1050 machines use #22215. You must have a strongmount in order to use this bullet tray.

Tip:

- When filling the tubes, rotate the base of the assembly so that it is positioned between tubes- that way none of the columns line up with the hole in the bottom – and the brass won’t fall out prematurely.
